International Photography Competition
Amorgos Tourism Film Festival 2019 is organizing an international photography competition on the subject of “Off Season Destination Secrets”
More and more in recent year’s tourism destinations are aiming to prolong the tourism period. The photography completion organized within the 10th Amorgos Tourism Film Festival aspire to be an opportunity for participants to inspire travelers to explore famous destinations outside the traditional tourist period. Landscapes, urban scenery, events, and activities worthwhile of visitors’ attention can become incentives for a visit at times when a destination may not appear as appealing. Let us reveal the hidden gems which would bring our destination into focus during periods when most people least expect it.
The best most inspiring photographs will be showcased in an exhibition during the Festival on the event venue the “Aegialis Hotel & Spa” from October 31st to November 5th, 2019. The three best photographs will be awarded with a special trophy and a certificate during the film festival award ceremony. Furthermore, the photographers of the three awarded photos will have the opportunity to attend the 10th Amorgos Tourism Film Festival and the 17th Yperia Convention for Culture and Culture with the benefits of the filmmaker participants.
Participants can be professionals or amateurs with a passion for photography who would like to reveal destinations and inspire travelers to visit places which are a well-kept secret.
All photos have to be send in printed format, dimensions: 35 cm X 50 cm until the 15th September 2019 while the notification date is 1st October 2019.
All submitted photos become the property of the Festival and are kept in the Festival’s archive.
The “Amorgos Film Festival” reserves the right to exhibit the photos submitted, specifically the right to present and demonstrate the photos in public. All aforementioned transfers of use shall be of worldwide validity.
